When one is under authority they can speak with authority when their authority has spoken to them. A ruler’s word carries authority.

Many are living as if there is not going to be a judgment; and if there will it will be according to their standard of thinking. Here is what the unfailing and unchanging word of God has to say about the Day of Judgment.

    Rom 14:10

10 But why do you judge your brother? Or why do you show contempt for your brother? For we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ. NKJV

    2 Corinthians 5:10

10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad. NKJV

    Romans 2:13-16

13 For it is not the hearers of the law who are righteous before God, but the doers of the law who will be justified. 14 For when Gentiles, who do not have the law, by nature do what the law requires, they are a law to themselves, even though they do not have the law. 15 They show that the work of the law is written on their hearts, while their conscience also bears witness, and their conflicting thoughts accuse or even excuse them 16 on that day when, according to my gospel, God judges the secrets of men by Christ Jesus. Being created in the image of God he has given each of us something of himself; only in part. When we put these parts together we can accomplish much for the kingdom of God.

The lack of this knowledge is the reason why some try to copy others in the body of Christ.

    Rom 12:4

4 For as we have many members in one body, but all the members do not have the same function, NKJV

    Mark 4:35-41

35 On the same day, when evening had come, He said to them, "Let us cross over to the other side." 36 Now when they had left the multitude, they took Him along in the boat as He was. And other little boats were also with Him. 37 And a great windstorm arose, and the waves beat into the boat, so that it was already filling. 38 But He was in the stern, asleep on a pillow. And they awoke Him and said to Him, "Teacher, do You not care that we are perishing?"

39 Then He arose and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, "Peace, be still!" And the wind ceased and there was a great calm. 40 But He said to them, "Why are you so fearful? How is it that you have no faith?" 41 And they feared exceedingly, and said to one another, "Who can this be, that even the wind and the sea obey Him!" NKJV

In the above scriptures Jesus stilled the storm. But afterward he rebuked the disciples for their lack of faith. Where was their faith going to come from? It was going to come from what he said; “Let us pass over to the other side”. He said that because the Father said go to the other side.
